Warming in The Heart (WiTH)

Warming in the Heart (WiTH) is a weekly program offering a warm, welcoming space for Green Bay’s unhoused community every Sunday afternoon from November through April.

Developed in the summer of 2024, WiTH was created by a group of local churches and community volunteers who saw a need for shelter, compassion and companionship on Sundays—when other services are closed. We’re hosted at Samaritan’s Heart Mission Church, but this is a true community effort, independently funded and volunteer-run.

Our first season (2024–25) made a big impact. We averaged over 80 guests each week, filling a critical gap and creating a calmer, more hopeful atmosphere for many. Even St. John’s Ministries shared that this year’s shelter season was one of their best, thanks in part to WiTH.

Each Sunday from 12:30–4:30 p.m., guests can relax, connect and enjoy snacks, fellowship, games, crafts, football and sometimes even karaoke! While we strive to share the love of Christ, we do not use this time to promote the church or missionary work.

As we head into year two, our Lead Team is building on what we learned to serve with even more compassion and care.

How you can get involved:
